Guthrie County voters who wish to refrain from crowding the polls next Tuesday can still cast their ballot early for the primary election.

In-person absentee voting is open from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. today and Monday at the west entrance of the Guthrie County Courthouse, as well as 8 a.m.-4 p.m. tomorrow. Voters can call the Auditor’s Office to notify them that they want to vote in person, or they can simply ring the doorbell located at the west entrance during those hours.

Those planning to vote on Election Day are reminded that the County’s eight precincts are being streamlined into three voting locations, in effort to limit the risk of COVID-19 exposure to poll workers. Voters from the black, gold, red, and white precincts will vote at the Christian Church Fellowship Hall in Guthrie Center; those in blue, brown, and green precincts will vote at Veteran’s Auditorium in Panora; and the purple precinct will vote at Stuart Congregational Church.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday, and curbside voting will also be available. For more information on the polling locations, visit this story at raccoonvalleyradio.com.
