The Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers got the go ahead last week with the rest of the state of Iowa for a baseball season, with the first practices to be next Monday and the first games to be on June 15th. Their first week will have a lot of interesting games with Ballard to be their opener at home and games against Perry and Carlisle as well.
Their schedule will be composed of a guarantee of 16 games with 7 home games, and they will play six of their home games within the first seven played during the season. The amount of games that are to be played could be changed if ADM and other teams that were on their non-conference schedule before June 15th can find a way to play that both would have an off day.
They also will still have a conference regular season champion, but they will only play half the schedule and if they play a conference team twice, which in this case for the Tigers is Ballard and Carroll, the first time they play will be non-conference and the second game would be conference, with the perfect record being 7-0.
For ADM, things are definitely going to look different, and the season will be a lot shorter than they’re used too, but the Tigers will be excited to get back on the ball diamond next Monday for their first practice.
