4:57am: A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with medical issue in the 700 block of Wild Rose Drive.

11:24am: A deputy investigated a 911 hang up in the 1200 block of B Avenue.

2:22pm: A deputy investigated a dog that was on the side of the road On I Avenue near Churdan. The dog appeared to of been hit by a vehicle.

5:03pm: A deputy investigated a suspicious person on N Avenue near 210th Street.

5:53pm: The Sheriff, deputies, Jefferson Fire, Grand Junction Fire, and Greene County EMS responded to a 2-vehicle accident on W Avenue and 230th Street. David Darby 30 of Boone was driving north on W Avenue in his 2018 Dodge Ram. Caden Wilson 19 of Churdan was traveling east on 230 th Street in a 2007 GMC Sierra and failed to stop at the stop sign and struck David in the rear driver side causing both vehicles to roll in to the ditch. David’s truck came to rest in the east ditch of W Avenue about 150 feet from the intersection. Caden’s truck came to rest on its top in the north ditch of 230 th Street. All person’s involved were wearing their seat belts and had just minor injuries. Caden was cited for failure to obey stop sign, failure to yield right away, and failure to stop in assured clear distance. Nobody was transported from the scene. Both vehicles were totaled in the accident.

8:00pm: George Zepp 49 of Jefferson was booked into the jail to serve a sentence.

8:10pm: A deputy assisted a lost child in the 1000 block of Grant Street find his mother.

9:15pm: A deputy investigated a car deer accident on 220th Street near Orchard Avenue. Cristin Calvert 49 of Jefferson struck a deer with his 2011 Buick Lecerne causing around 3,000 dollars damage.

9:48pm: A deputy investigated a suspicious person in the 2200 block of E Avenue.

9:48pm: A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 600 block of South 15th Street, Grand Junction.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
