Memorial Day is next week and even though some public buildings are closed to the public anyway due to COVID-19 concerns, the holiday is still impacting some services.

The Jefferson City Hall, Greene County Extension office, Jefferson Post Office, Jefferson Area Chamber office and the Greene County Community Center will be closed for the holiday. The Greene County Courthouse and Jefferson Public Library continue to remain closed to the public, but are offering services, though all services will be closed for both entities on Monday. Additionally, there will be no Memorial Day services at the Jefferson City Cemetery or St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.

Jefferson residents are reminded that due to the holiday, garbage pickup will be delayed by one day. Routes will return to normal the following week.
