The Greene County School Board met Wednesday night in regular session.

The Board approved a $67,942 purchase with Tierney and TechZone for hardware for the current high school into the middle school conversion project, along with a $42,280 change order from Site Services for asbestos removal for the project. The Board also approved a $72,800 bid from Varsity Group for an outdoor marquee sign to be located along Highway 30 where the new high school will be. Additionally, the Board approved a transportation agreement with Region XII Council of Governments, an Area Education Agency purchasing agreement and milk, lunch, breakfast and activity pass fees for the 2020-2021 school year as presented. The Board tabled its decision on an Earth Networks purchase.

Activities Director Todd Gordon talked about designing a new school district logo and working with a company involving Michael Reece. Gordon mentioned he shared a rough draft of the new logo with all of the coaches, teachers and 25 students. The Board agreed to move forward with the project.
