Monday, May 18th
10:39am: Dean Lenz reported an unknown animal had dug a hole in the right of way in the 400 Block of North Oak Street.
11:27am: The Public Works Director reported damage to the newly planted grass area at the City Brush Dump Site at Daubendiek Park. A vehicle had spun donuts in the area, tearing up the new grass seed.
11:53am: Bob Villanueva reported a broken window in his 2001 Ford Ranger, which was parked at 305 East Harrison Street. The passenger side window had been shattered. The damage estimate is $300.00 to replace the window. The officer could not determine how the window had been broken.
1:01pm: A parent from Newton, IA. Called and reported her 15-year-old daughter had been a victim of Sexual Assault while staying in Jefferson between April 25 th and May 1st, 2020. A suspect name was provided to the officer. The investigation has begun.
7:52pm: The Mobile Crisis Team advised officers of a report on a female in Jefferson who was possibly suicidal. The subject had left Jefferson enroute to Perry. Officers did not locate the subject in Jefferson and forwarded the information to the Perry PD.
9:10pm: Linda Ross reported an Identity Theft. Someone had purchased goods in her name and the package was sent to a Michigan address. She had received billing for the items. The officer is investigating.
