Raccoon Valley Radio has announced the 2020 recipients of its Business and Broadcasting Scholarships, with one of them being a student from Nodaway-Valley School District.

Tyler Vandewater resides in Winterset, and he plans to study communications at Benedictine University at Mesa, Arizona. Vandewater’s extracurricular activities have included baseball, basketball, football, FFA, and student council. He has also had work experience as an umpire for the United States Specialty Sports Association and as an intern for the Adair County Free Press. Vandewater is one of two students in the listening area that is each receiving a $250 scholarship. These scholarships are given to graduating seniors that are planning on attending a post-secondary school to study a business or broadcasting-related field.
