The Guthrie Center City Council approved a bond purchase agreement for their municipal pool bathhouse and public restroom project Monday.

The City will be levying taxes for the $800,000 bond referendum that was passed in last November’s election. The project is set to begin after this year’s pool season with demolition of the existing bathhouse in September. The Council also approved scheduling their second regular meeting of the month to May 26 due to the Memorial Day holiday, and set a public hearing for that date regarding the fiscal year 2020 budget amendment. Discussion of the property at 203 State Street was tabled as the property owner was not present.
