
Monday, May 11th
10:49am: Tony Ratliff reported that he felt someone was hacking into his personal devices at 504 South Oak Street. The officer explained that we have no way to prove or disprove this and he needs to contact the companies that he purchased the items from.
11:16am: Tom Scheffers reported a subject had flipped him off in the 500 Block of East Clark Street as he worked in the area. The officer spoke to the subject, who denied it happened.
11:29am: A Traffic Stop at McKinley and Vine Streets resulted in Brandon Mitchell of Jefferson being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”
12:03pm: Bill Griffin requested to use an officer’s cell phone to contact local businesses, as his had been turned off. The officer allowed him to call the pharmacy on the department’s cell phone.
5:03pm: Sparky’s One Stop reported a Gas Drive Off in the amount of $15.78. The officer is investigating.
7:18pm: A caller advised a garbage dumpster had been placed in the street in the 500 Block of East Clark Street. The caller advised there was no reflectors or traffic cones to alert drivers after dark. The officer retrieved some traffic barricades and placed them at the dumpster.
7:23pm: A Jefferson resident requested an officer to speak to their juvenile son after catching him stealing from the mother. The officer spent several minutes with the juvenile about the issues and possible consequences.
