The Greene County School District recently announced a positive case of COVID-19.
Superintendent Tim Christensen issued a statement explaining the positive test case of the virus. “One of the individuals handing out Grab and Go Lunches at the Rippey location from April 27th-29th has tested positive for COVID-19. The individual was not part of lunch preparation and has not been in the Middle School building where lunches are prepared.”
Christensen notes the District will continue to hand out lunches at the Rippey Community Center and that they are taking “every precaution necessary to keep our workers and students and families safe as we prepare and pass out meals for students.” Christensen encourages other individuals who help hand out lunches at the Rippey Community Center or those who picked up lunches to follow the Iowa Department of Public Health’s guidance.
