Jefferson residents looking for something to do during these COVID-19 times to help beautify the City can do so next week.

The Jefferson Matters: Main Street Design Team is looking for volunteers to help plant new flowers and plants in the planters and hanging baskets around the downtown square. Tuesday volunteers will be needed to help plant the pillar planters around the square and the cluster planters in the surrounding blocks from 10am-4pm. The plants will be right next to the planters.

The next time will be from 10-11am on Wednesday for a limited number of volunteers to help with the hanging baskets. The baskets will already have soil in them at the City Shed and City crews will hang them when the volunteers are done.
