With Mother’s Day coming up tomorrow, there’s still time to find that perfect gift even in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Jefferson Area Chamber of Commerce Office Coordinator Beth Vander Wilt says with several retailers opening on a limited basis as a result of the governor’s proclamation relaxing some COVID-19 restrictions, people have more options to find something for the moms in their lives.

“All of our retailers in our area are so good about accommodating people, answering their phones, answering text messages or Facebook messages, explaining what they would like. The curbside pickup is just amazing (and) some of them offer zero contact pickup which is really good.”

Vander Wilt suggests calling a particular business first to make sure they are open and what services they can offer while keeping social distancing guidelines in mind.
