Greene County ISU Extension is helping in the effort to create face masks in the fight against the spread of COVID-19.
Mask kits are available now for people to make them for either personal use or to donate. The kits feature two different patterns, along with fabric to make them and a list of where to donate the personal protective equipment. Each kit has enough supplies to make one mask and a sewing machine will be needed to assemble them.
The Iowa 4-H Foundation encourages 4-H’ers to make masks and record their donations. The Foundation has already surpassed its 10,000 mask goal and is looking to achieve its newest goal of 25,000 masks statewide.
Stop into the Greene County Extension Office between 9 and 11am Monday-Friday to pick up a mask kit.
