A good deed performed during the COVID-19 pandemic could give a financial lift to your favorite Guthrie County non-profit organization or local business.
Guthrie County State Bank has launched a “Celebrate May Day” promotion which invites GCSB customers to help out a neighbor for the chance to win $500 to donate to a business or organization based in the County. From now until May 22nd, customers can post a picture of themselves or their family performing a good deed for someone else on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #GCSBMayDay and mention what business or nonprofit you would award the $500.
The submissions will then be entered into a drawing, with 10 winners selected for a total of $5,000 being given back to the County. GCSB President Mike Underwood says they won’t disqualify multiple submissions for the same potential recipient, “The 10 winners if they all pick the same small business or they all pick the same non profit, absolutely we would give the 10 $500 checks or $5,000 to that one organization.”
Underwood adds participants can enter multiple times, but they must perform separate good deeds and select a different recipient each time. The winners will be drawn on Facebook Live on May 28th. For more information on the promotion visit here.
