A Coon Rapids man was sentenced to probation following a drug-related incident in Grand Junction.

According to court documents, 24-year-old Joshua Blumberg pled guilty to a Class C Felony for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver-habitual offender, and a Class D Felony for his third or subsequent offense for possession of marijuana. Court documents show Blumberg had a 15 year prison sentence suspended for the Class C Felony and a five year prison sentence suspended for the Class D Felony and was placed on probation for five years for both charges.

The charges stem from an incident on February 13th. A Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop in Grand Junction and noticed that one of the passengers, who was Blumberg, had several outstanding warrants. Several drug items were recovered from a probable cause search of the vehicle.

Blumberg was also ordered to reside in a residential treatment facility and pay over $1,000 in fines, surcharges and probation fees. His probation sentence was to run concurrently with a probation violation of a previous driving while barred conviction from January of 2018.
