Some local numbers continue to go up as the 2019 novel coronavirus continues to spread across Iowa.

According to the Iowa Department of Public Health as of Monday, there were 534 additional positive cases of COVID-19 for a total of 9,703 cases statewide. Of the new cases reported on Monday, Dallas County is at 578 positive confirmed cases, Guthrie County is now at 29 and Greene County has 11. There were an additional four deaths from the virus as part of Monday’s report. The deaths were in Appanoose, Jasper, Poweshiek and Wapello counties.

IDPH officials say there are 389 current hospitalizations and 3,486 Iowans have recovered. There are also a total of 47,458 negative tests for the virus administered so far. Keep listening to Raccoon Valley Radio for daily updates on the COVID-19 pandemic.
