Since the governor’s new proclamation allowing some businesses to open on a limited basis, here are some of the public places that are open or remain closed in Greene County.

The Greene County Community Center in Jefferson is open normal hours with several restrictions in place. The restrictions are posted throughout the facility and you can contact the community center with questions. The law enforcement center in Jefferson is also open to the public again. However Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams says jail visitation is prohibited and only two people will be allowed inside the building at one time. The Jefferson Public Library will also remain closed at this time.

The Greene County Courthouse and Jefferson City Hall remain closed to the public. City staff and county departments will continue to provide services, but no one from the public is allowed inside the respective buildings. All playgrounds, shelter houses, and restrooms at the Jefferson City parks remain closed at this time, along with campgrounds at any of the Greene County parks.
