The Greene County School District recently received some funds from Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation.
The non-gaming license holder for Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson previously announced a $35,000 donation to four key areas in the County that were greatly impacted by COVID-19. The school district used the funds to purchase home learning supplies for elementary students in grades pre-kindergarten through fourth. Students recently picked up those items, along with their other school supplies that were left in their lockers, since the school buildings are closed for the rest of the school year.
Other areas GGCGC donated funds to included the Paton-Churdan School District, food and essential services, public health and Greene County small businesses.
