
Dallas County saw a jump in 60 positive COVID-19 cases and Guthrie County an increase of four Wednesday, according to the state’s latest numbers.
The Iowa Department of Public Health has been notified of 467 new cases for a total of 6,843 positive cases statewide. There have also been an additional 1,047 negative tests for a total of 34,494 tests to date. The State of Iowa’s dashboard shows 258 positive cases so far for Dallas County, 10 for Guthrie, and two for Greene. For Dallas, 946 people have been tested, and 76 of the cases have recovered. In Guthrie, 99 people have been tested, and four of the cases have recovered. In Greene County, one of the cases has recovered, and 84 people have been tested. No deaths have occurred in any of the three counties.
Twelve new deaths were reported statewide Wednesday with 323 currently hospitalized, and 2,428 Iowans that have recovered. The Governor’s Office notes that 1 in 76 Iowans have been tested, and the number of positive cases will continue to grow as Test Iowa sites open and additional surveillance testing is conducted.
