Friday, April 24th
3:43am: An officer located a female subject walking on crutches near Central Ave. and Grimmell Road. The officer learned the subject had just left ER and lived across town. He provided the female a ride to her residence.
7:10am: Casey’s reported a male subject had stolen alcohol from 508 North Elm Street. The business is providing the officer with video of the event. Arrest Warrants are pending at this time for the male subject.
12:15pm: Officers assisted the GC Ambulance and the Medical Examiner’s Office with a Death Scene in the 600 Block of South Cedar Street.
1:56pm: Jan Black reported her adult grandson had been assaulted by a Jefferson male, but refused to speak to police. The officer advised that without his complaint, no action could be taken.
4:54pm: A caller advised a small dog had been struck and killed in the 500 Block of South Elm Street. The officer spoke to the animal’s owner and the remains were returned to the family for burial.
5:42pm: An officer checked on subjects in the 300 Block of West Reed Street after dispatch received a 911 Hang Up Call. A child had been playing with a phone and all was fine.
9:08pm: An officer checked on a male subject in the 500 Block of South Chestnut Street after dispatch received a 911 Hang Up call. The male was fine and advised his phone was not working properly.
9:10pm: A Traffic Stop at Lincoln Way and Locust Streets resulted in Gerald Wilsey of Jefferson being cited for, “Careless Driving.”
Saturday, April 25th
12:20am: An officer located a male transient under the overpass on North Elm Street. The subject was passing through town and was fine.
5:11am: Jerry Goff spoke to an officer in connection to a Civil Vehicle Issue occurring at 206 North Oak Street.
10:51am: Brinlee Jones reported a neighbor’s dog was at her property at 306 West Reed Street. The officer arrived as the animal’s owner was retrieving his animal. He advised his small child had opened the door and the animal pushed past and got out.
11:48am: Emily Hayes reported a Careless Driver near McKinley and Cedar Streets. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.
12:13pm: Janon Olson reported problems with a neighbor’s dogs and her fence at 608 North Olive Street. The officer spoke to the neighbor about the issue and a resolution was made to correct the issue.
3:44pm: Mark Cranston reported kids on the street with a Soap Box Derby car in the 600 Block of South Cedar Street. The officer spoke to a parent that was outside with his children riding the car.
4:18pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of North Olive Street.
6:36pm: James Pena spoke to an officer about a Civil Property Issue occurring at 202 West Adams Street.
6:41pm: A caller advised of an Erratic Driver in the 300 Block of East Harrison Street. The officer was unable to locate the reported vehicle.
7:34pm: An officer checked on a Life Alert Alarm at 1000 West Washington Street. The subject had accidentally tripped the alarm and needed no assistance.
Sunday, April 26th
9:53am: An officer located a male subject sleeping in the Shelter House at Kelso Park. The officer sent the male on his way after advising him the park was closed.
2:49pm: A Traffic Stop at 220 th and Grimmell resulted in Abigail Wittrock of Carroll being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
2:56pm: A caller advised of a Careless Driver in the alley of the 100 West State Street. The officer located the vehicle parked in the area and spoke to the driver about the reported complaint.
