The 2020 Greene County High School boys’ track & field season was full of promise, and then it was wiped out by the COVID-19 Pandemic. The same goes for all other girls and boys spring sports in Iowa’s schools.
Greene County boys’ head track & field coach Chad Morton talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about being thankful for what we have. “This has given us a little time to reflect on the things we need to be thankful for every day. You never know what’s going to happen. Things can be taken away from you. I think even kids that didn’t enjoy going to school, miss it right now! And hopefully, this will give everybody a quick jolt of how lucky we are, and how quickly things can be taken away. We may appreciate more what we have in the future.”
Summer baseball and softball seasons are suspended for the time being with announcements about those seasons expected June 1 or sooner.
The Raccoon Valley Radio Network and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com will continue to update you on the situation.
