Dallas County continues to add to its total number of confirmed positive cases of COVID-19.

The Iowa Department of Public Health announced Sunday that six additional Iowans have died and 384 new positive cases of the virus were reported. The number of new cases includes 39 for Dallas County. Sunday’s numbers bring the total number of positive COVID-19 cases for Dallas County to 169 and IDPH reports 782 people have been tested in the County. 

The six people that were reported to have died from the virus include two from Johnson County, along with one from Blackhawk, Clinton, Des Moines and Linn counties. IDPH says the total number of statewide COVID-19 cases is 5,476, including 286 that are currently hospitalized and 1,900 have recovered. There are also a total of 30,614 negative test cases in the state.
