There have been some changes made to how the People for Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) of Greene County is operating, due to social distancing restrictions and recommendations of COVID-19.
PAWS member Ann Wenthold says they are encouraging anyone wanting to adopt animals from the shelter to schedule an appointment first, so they can protect volunteers and families from the virus. She points out all volunteers are wearing gloves and using hand sanitizer and asked to wear masks when working in the facility and with the animals. Wenthold adds, they are still accepting adoption requests and asking those interested to check out their Facebook page to see what animals are available.
At this time Wenthold says monetary donations are accepted to help purchase various items including efficient laundry soap, hard and soft dog treats, as well as canned cat food and treats. Click here to access the PAWS Facebook page.
