Saturday’s total of new positive tests for COVID-19 in Iowa of 648, brought the overall total over 5,000 positive cases.
The Iowa Department of Public Health reported there were 5,092 total positive cases of COVID-19. Of the new cases reported on Saturday, there was one case for Guthrie County and 31 for Dallas County. The total positive cases for Guthrie County is now six, which four of those cases the IDPH says have recovered. The total positive cases for Dallas County is 130, which 39 have recovered, according to IDPH.
IDPH also reports five additional deaths of COVID-19 on Saturday. The casualties include one from each of Blackhawk, Johnson, Polk and Scott counties. Additionally, IDPH says there are a total of 29,258 negative tests, 293 have been hospitalized and 1,723 people have recovered.
