ACCESS Assault Care Center is helping victims of sexual assault or those impacted by COVID-19 in a few creative ways.
ACCESS Sexual Assault Services Program Supervisor Marcy Webb says there is a YouTube video with sexual assault crime victim advocates talking about their jobs, demystifying those roles and inviting anyone to volunteer with their organization. She talks about another outreach program through their Facebook page, called “Heart for Art: Unitying Crime Victims Healing Through Art.”
“A lot of folks are sheltering in their homes and they are isolated, we just wanted to highlight any arts or crafts that folks have been working on as part of their either healing from trauma or just their mental health through this quarantining period.”
You can email an art project to brittany@assaultcarecenter.org. The projects will be uploaded during the last week of April.
