Tuesday, April 21st

1:32am: An officer located an unlocked unit at 1503 North Elm Street. After checking the unit, the officer discovered it was empty and not in use.

1:51am: During Business Door Checks and officer located an Open Door at 509 East Gallop Road. The officer secured the business.

3:56am: A Traffic Stop near 220th and Mulberry resulted in Michael Lyons of Rockwell City being cited for, “Fail to Have a Valid License.”

4:21am: Rita Pedersen reported an injured deer in the roadway near South Elm and Russell Streets. The officer dispatched the deer and removed it from the roadway.

6:37am: Marg Scheuermann located some personal items lying on the sidewalk near 501 West Adams Street. The officer is attempting to return the items to their owner.

10:13am: Rich Burkhardt voiced his concerns and opinions to officers about white rock on the roadway and other perceived issues near Central and Cedar Streets.

3:19pm: Janet Cummings reported a small dog in the roadway in the 300 Block of South Georgia Street. The owner arrived and took the animal before the officer arrived in the area.

4:02pm: Melissa Brooks requested officers at 205 North Locust Street for a reported Fight in Progress. Officers arrived and their investigation led to the arrest of Matthew John Goff, 46 of Perry for, “Assault Causing Bodily Injury – Serious, Public Intoxication – Simple, Disorderly Conduct/Fighting – Simple, and Trespass – Simple.”

4:40pm: Hank Muzney reported a subject riding a skateboard on the street near Cedar and Parks Streets. This was causing his dog to bark.

5:44pm: A caller advised of a dog being allowed to run freely in the 600 Block of West South Street. The officer followed up with the animal’s owner to correct the issue. The owner understood he will be issued a citation for any future instances.

7:38pm: A caller advised of a large dog roaming the area of the 400 Block of East Russell Street. The officer did not locate the reported animal.

9:07pm: An officer checked the area of the 600 Block of South Chestnut Street after dispatch received an accidental 911 Call from the area. All was fine in the area.
