The Perry City Council convened Monday evening in regular session.

The meeting began with setting a public hearing for May 4th regarding the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program for exterior home improvement projects. They also set a public hearing for June 1st regarding an application for a State Revolving Fund loan for the waste water treatment plant renovation. That was followed by approval of the final plat of survey for the Pattee Park subdivision. Next, the Council approved an application for CDBG response and recovery funds, and set a public hearing for May 4th to approve the loan.

Other items approved included: setting a public hearing on May 18th to consider plans and specifications for the 28th Street construction project; the submission and support of a Community Catalyst Building Remediation Grant application for $100,000 on behalf of the Nudgers group for the rehabilitation of the Morgan Building; setting a public hearing on May 18th for notice and intent to dispose of public property; an application to the Department of Transportation for funding improvements to the t-hangar at the Perry Municipal Airport; and a temporary 28E agreement with Dallas County Emergency Medical Services regarding affiliation and cross staffing.

The meeting concluded with approval of a resolution authorizing a $100,000 economic development grant to the Perry Chamber of Commerce for the purpose of economic stimulus.
