Friday, April 17th
3:54am: A Traffic Stop at Perry and Cedar Streets resulted in Anthony Kennedy of Jefferson being cited for, “Driving While Suspended and fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”
5:13am: John Ades reported a male subject was going through his dumpster in the 300 Block of East State Street. The officer contacted the male and advised him he was on private property and not to return.
2:39pm: An officer investigated a Backing Accident in the parking lot at 106 West Washington Street. A 2010 Chrysler Sebring owned by Sheila Knapp of Panora was parked in the lot. A 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan, owned and operated by Diane Blackmer of Jefferson struck the Knapp vehicle while backing from a parking spot. The Knapp vehicle had a reported $400.00 to the rear bumper, while the Blackmer vehicle had a reported $500.00 in damages to the driver’s side.
5:42pm: A caller advised of a male walking a young child by leash in the 400 Block of South Cedar Street. The officers were unable to locate the reported subjects.
7:21pm: Brian Ransom called in a complaint about the vehicles cruising around the city square. He dislikes all the noise associated with the event.
9:14pm: Bailey Ackerman reported a possible No Contact Violation in the 400 Block of East Lincoln Way Street. The officer is investigating.
Saturday, April 18th
11:59am: A caller advised of an Open Business Door in the alley of the 100 Block of North Chestnut Street. The officer secured the storm door.
2:07pm: Janice Napolitano reported a female pushing a stroller and being followed closely by a male in a truck. She asked the female if everything was okay and the female advised, “No.” Officer located the couple, who advised no assistance was needed and all was fine.
10:40pm: A caller advised of a party occurring on South Grimmell Road. The officer located the event, which was 6 teenagers gathered together on private property. No action was required by the officer.
11:02pm: Julie Byerly reported a dark residence in the 600 Block of East Adams Street with a candle burning brightly inside. The officer checked the area and found nothing suspicious.
Sunday, April 19th
12:25pm: Curt Hastings reported a young child trespassing on his property at 502 North Vine Street. The officer located residents burning yard waste in a pit near the property line. The officer spoke to the couple about keeping the child on their property.
12:56pm: Curt Hastings reported a vehicle parked in his driveway at 303 East State Street without his permission. The officer located the owner of the vehicle doing yardwork next door and had the vehicle moved.
4:04pm: Jarrod Rumley spoke with an officer in connection to a Civil Property Issue. He was advised to seek an attorney.
