The Iowa State Cyclones Wrestling team had a successful season, and had a pair of wrestlers from the ADM school district that had solid initial campaigns for the Cyclones. Both Nolan Harsh and Andrew Flora both put on good showings while red shirting their initial season, as they were competing unattached.
Harsh wrestled at the 174 pound mark, compiling a 7-9 record, wrestling in six tournaments and compiling runner up statuses in both the Cyclone Invitational and the Grand View Open. Harsh had a wonderful career as a Tiger as he was a four time state qualifier and able to do some big things for the Tigers on the wrestling mat.
Flora wrestled at the 141 pound level, getting a 7-8 record, and competed in four different tournaments during the year. He finished 5th at the last chance open, and got a win via pin and technical fall as well. Flora holds ADMs record for most wins on the season, was also a four time state qualifier, three time state place winner, and 2019 Iowa High School State Champion.
Both wrestlers had very successful seasons as their first with the Cyclones, and will be hoping to put on more good showings next winter up in Ames.
