The latest numbers on the COVID-19 pandemic in Iowa were released Thursday afternoon by the Iowa Department of Public Health, and there were 146 new positive tests in the state.

Among the new cases, four were reported in Dallas County. There have now been 42 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Dallas, though 33 of those have fully recovered and there have been no deaths. The IDPH also announced Thursday there were seven new virus-related casualties. Three were in Polk County, with one between age 18-40, another between 61-80, and the last over 81-years-old. The others were an individual between 41-60 in Louisa County, two between 61-80 in Allamakee and Linn counties, and one over 81 in Tama County.

There have now been 2,141 positive COVID-19 tests in Iowa and 60 deaths. 987 Iowans have recovered, most without requiring hospitalization, and there have been 18,543 negative tests since the community spread began.
