Adel-Desoto-Minburn football coach Garrison Carter spoke with the Raccoon Valley Radio Network this week, and talked about the schedule for the upcoming year. He mentioned that the teams that the Tigers will be playing will be a solid non-conference schedule along with one of the more talented districts in the state.
” As far as this year’s schedule, I think you look right away and you look at a few teams that are certainly going to be state title contenders with Harlan and DCG and Norwalk. Then you have some conference schools that are going to be tough challenges and that’s the thing about coaching in 3A in the state of Iowa is that every week there are going to be challenge and you know you don’t like that you probably shouldn’t be in this business.”
Carter also mentioned that the team will have a lot of fun having an in county rival back on their schedule with the Mustangs of Dallas Center Grimes.
“Well absolutely and Coach Heitland is someone that I would consider a good friend so you know it’ll be a good game and good for both schools to have the county rivalry going again.”
It should be an exciting schedule for the ADM Tigers, and should provide a good challenge throughout the year.
