A Manning woman was arrested on felony drug charges after an early Wednesday morning incident in Guthrie County.
According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, at about 12 a.m. dispatch received a report of a domestic incident on Nice Avenue and Highway 141, and heard both parties yelling about someone being or getting stabbed. A deputy came in contact with the suspects’ vehicle at Hickory Avenue and Highway 141 in Bayard, and detained the male driver. The deputy then spoke with the female passenger, 28-year-old Elizabeth Marie Gerdom, and saw a meth pipe sitting on the front passenger seat.
A search of Gerdom found a plastic bag of methamphetamine, and a prescription pill bottle filled with marijuana. A vehicle search also found a digital scale. Gerdom appeared to have self-inflicted stab wounds, and she said she purposely stabbed herself because she was angry. She also stated that she’s been selling meth to support her own drug habit for the last two months. The meth was weighed at the Sheriff’s Office and was estimated at around 18.5 grams.
Gerdom is charged with possession of more than five grams of meth, a class B felony; failure to affix drug tax stamp, a class D felony; possession of marijuana second offense, a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.
