While monitoring the COVID-19 situation in Iowa, the Guthrie County Conservation Board is updating its policies to maintain safe environments for both visitors and staff.

Conservation and natural area properties and Guthrie County’s portion of the Raccoon River Valley Trail remain open during day time. Though visitors are encouraged not to congregate in any location, and respect physical distancing guidelines. Restrooms, playgrounds, pit latrines, and shower house facilities remain closed at all Conservation Board areas, and Nations Bridge and Lenon Mill camping is closed by proclamation from Governor Kim Reynolds until April 30th. Facility reservations including the shelter houses at Nations Bridge and Lenon Mill parks have been temporarily placed on hold. These measures align with ongoing discussions and information from Guthrie County Public Health. For more information call the administrative office at 641-755-3061 or email gccb@netins.net.
