Fuel prices across Iowa continue to drop at the pumps.

According to the weekly fuel report from the Iowa Department of Agriculture, as of Wednesday the price of regular unleaded gasoline was averaging $1.64. The American Automobile Association reports the prices of gasoline fell $0.11 from last week’s price and was $1 lower than one year ago. The national average on Wednesday was down $0.07 to $1.91.  

Retail diesel also saw a decrease in price this week. The price dropped $0.06 with a statewide average of $2.28, which is less than one year ago of $2.96.
