With guidance from Guthrie County Public Health, some local churches are holding “drive-in” Easter services tomorrow.
The Guthrie Center Association of Churches, including First Christian Church, First Presbyterian Church, United Methodist Church, and Seventh-day Adventist Church are hosting a joint service at 10 a.m. at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds. Attendees are to park in the lot by the Event Center, and stay in their vehicles. Laughery Auction has donated their sound system for the service, and there will be traffic attendants to help with parking.
The Panora First Christian Church is also planning a drive-in service at 10 a.m. tomorrow. Attendees are informed to stay in their vehicles and keep all windows closed. In case of inclement weather they will have speakers outside and will broadcast the service through their Facebook page. As gatherings have been restricted to 10 people or less by state order, many area churches have also turned to streaming their services online.
