The Bock Family Foundation in Perry announced the recipients of their spring 2020 grant awards Friday.

Due to recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there will be no formal presentation this cycle, and funds are being distributed directly to the grantees. The Foundation approved funding 21 grants for a total of $50,580, in addition to $20,000 in donations announced earlier this week to local food pantries and child care facilities. Some of the bigger grants this cycle include: $3,000 to Perry Middle School to purchase equipment for their STEM class; $5,000 to Dallas County Conservation for the connector trail project; and $7,500 to Perry’s Academic, Cultural, and Enrichment Services (PACES) program toward their summer program. The largest grant went to the Perry Area Child Development Center (PCDC), with $8,000 pledged to their scholarship program.

With the most recent grants, the Bock Foundation has crossed the $2 million threshold since forming in 2002. The funds are given to nonprofit or civic organizations operated for religious, charitable, scientific, literary, or educational purposes. Projects funded are located specifically in Dallas County, with preference given to the four northern townships. See below for a full list of grant recipients for the spring 2020 cycle.
