Tuesday, April 7th
8:41am: A caller advised of locating capped needles and other possible narcotic related waste in the area of Lincoln Way and Grimmell Road. The officer seized the items for proper disposal.
4:08pm: A caller reported a vehicle parked blocking the sidewalk in the 200 Block of South Cedar Street. The officer located the vehicle and determined it was pulled ahead as far as possible and was not blocking use of the sidewalk. The officer took no action.
4:49pm: Emily Cummings reported a deceased opossum in the street in the 600 Block of South Vine Street. The officer removed and disposed of the carcass.
5:28pm: A caller advised a subject was blowing leaves from his yard into a neighboring property in the 200 Block of North Oak Street. The caller was not the property owner having leaves blown into their yard.
7:08pm: An officer was advised of a stray dog in the 600 Block of South Chestnut Street. The officer placed the animal in the Animal Holding Facility.
Wednesday, April 8th
2:01am: An officer checked on a vehicle parked at Henderson Park, near Elm and 250th Street. No one was located with the vehicle.
7:38am: A caller advised of a Homeless Couple living in a camper at the Little League Complex, located in the 800 Block of West Clark Street. The officer did not locate anyone in the complex.
11:22am: Officers assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 300 Block of Edgewood.
12:30pm: An officer responded to 111 North Chestnut Street after a male caller requested an officer there on 911 and hung up. The officer contacted the male, who refused to cooperate as to why he had requested an officer and would not speak with the officer.
5:10pm: Charles Henderson reported a Stray Dog near Adams and Pinet Streets. The officer placed the dog in the Animal Holding Facility.
6:33pm: Brittany Smith reported young children left home alone at 305 North Chestnut Street. The officer learned a 14-year-old sibling was home watching the younger children.
6:54pm: Hilda Ratliff reported an Intoxicated Male on a bicycle near Lincoln Way and Locust Streets. The officer did not locate the reported subject.
8:31pm: Gary Hoffman reported the top of a tree on fire at 205 South Walnut Street. The officer located power lines causing the issue in the tree. Jefferson Fire and Alliant Energy responded to fix the issue.
