Governor Kim Reynolds extended the public health emergency proclamation to include several more public type areas. Additionally, public health officials have announced the first COVID-19 case for Greene County.
All of that might be draw for some concern, but Greene County Public Health Director Becky Wolf says people need to continue to take precautions when going outside of their homes.
“We don’t want people penned up in their houses. We want them to be getting outside and getting some exercise and some fresh air and making them feel better mentally. But you’ve got to still maintain more than six feet apart and make sure that you’re not having groups of more than ten.”
Wolf suggests another preventative tip if you’re planning a grocery store trip.
“Don’t take the whole family to the store, just take one person because by doing so, you’re limiting the exposure that everybody else in your family is going to have and possibly bring home.”
