As Governor Kim Reynolds has called for many businesses and other entities to remain closed through April 30th to help contain the spread of COVID-19, the City of Stuart is also keeping vigilant to protect its residents.

Mayor Dick Cook has announced several restrictions the City is taking through April 30th unless otherwise stated. City staff shall continue to work normal hours, but the public is to avoid in-person contact with them to protect their health. City Hall remains closed to all visitors, but the public can still call or email City staff or use the drop box to the right of the lobby entrance door. All City parks and property are closed, including public restrooms, until further notice. City playgrounds are also closed in compliance with the governor’s proclamation.

The next City Council meeting on April 13th will be held via teleconference, and a phone number and access code will be provided on the agenda. Cook adds, together we’ll get through this pandemic.
