The Adel-Desoto-Minburn football team got their football schedule last week, and we will be previewing their schedule throughout the next couple of weeks. The Tigers week 2 opponent is a traditional state power in the Cyclones of Harlan. Harlan is a team that has a great team year in and year out, with 12 state championships to their name with the last one in 2009.
Harlan went 7-3 last year and qualified for the state playoffs with before bowing out to Dallas Center Grimes in a tight contest that saw a final of 9-7. ADM and Harlan were in the same district the last couple of seasons with the Cyclones defeating the Tigers last season by the score 41-28. It was a competitive game that came down to the last couple of minutes before the Cyclones were able to pull away at the last second.
This should be an excellent test and challenge for the second game of the season, as ADM is hoping to get off to a great start to the season but Harlan should provide a great test.
