The Greene County Board of Supervisors met Monday in regular session.

The Board approved an expansion of the Family and Medical Leave Act as required by the new Families First Coronavirus Response Act from the federal government. County Attorney Thomas Laehn presented a memo he sent to employees explaining the two types of paid emergency leave. The draft of the expansion was reviewed and approved by the Board as presented.

The Board then approved hiring Natasha Muir as a part-time custodian with a rate of $16 per hour for 20-25 hours per week. Additionally, the Board approved a resolution allowing for three sculptures to be placed on the Greene County Courthouse grounds from May 1st to November 1st with Jefferson Matters: Main Street in celebration of the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower. Of those three, one may remain on the ground through April 30, 2021. 

The Board also approved Delta Dental insurance renewal rates with a two-percent increase for single plans to be $40.46 per month and family plans at $94.47 per month. Finally, the Board approved Bolton and Menk’s recommendation of A-1 Excavating to do a district tile improvement project for $212,110 in drainage district 187. The engineer’s estimate was $259,210 and Bolton and Menk received three bids.
