The West Central Valley School District is seeking to build some camaraderie among students and other community members with a virtual twist on what’s typically held as a homecoming tradition.
While school is closed until April 13th to contain the spread of COVID-19, West Central Valley is hosting a Spirit Week: the “Homestaying” Edition. Wildcats are encouraged to dress up according to the different themed days and post photos on social media with the hashtag #WildcatWay. The week begins with Super Hero Day on Monday, in honor of medical professionals, truck drivers, grocery store employees, and other essential personnel that are relied on the most during this pandemic; Tuesday is school colors and crazy hair day; Wednesday is dress like an old person day, in honor of the generation whose health is most at risk for COVID-19; Thursday is jersey day, in honor of the sports seasons unfortunately not going on during the health crisis; and ends Friday with pajama day, one of the perks of staying home.
