The Greene County Medical Center has made adjustments to its leadership team.
As the Board of Trustees continued its search for a permanent CEO, following the departure of Carl Behne, the Board appointed Tracy Warner as the interim CEO. Warner is currently the director of rural health resources for UnityPoint Health-Des Moines and she has been working with the medical center for 14 years. Meanwhile, the search committee is conducting video interviews with the semi-finalists for the CEO position, with a target of early May to have it filled.
Other leadership changes the Board appointed were naming Deborah Saylor as the interim Chief Nursing Officer, Joe Corfits as interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to start April 17th, following the departure of the current CFO Heather Paris who will be returning to Iowa State University as the assistant vice president of finance. Saylor will be working alongside Chief Medical Officer Dr. Michael Line to provide direction for clinical areas and supporting medical decisions. Corfits has been retired since 2018, but he has over 40 years of medical and health care finance experience. Additionally, human resources, information technology, and community relations/foundation managers/directors will report to Warner and long-term care will be under the direction of the CNO.
The Board made these changes during the challenges that COVID-19 presents and looks forward to their leadership into the future.
