Three men were recently sentenced in Guthrie County for an incident in which they shot at county road signs with a shotgun.
Court documents show that Guthrie Center residents 20-year-old Bryce Wayne Goehring, 21-year-old Tanner David Goehring, and 31-year-old Ricky Roy Harrison were found guilty of reckless use of a firearm – property damage, an aggravated misdemeanor; and Bryce and Harrison guilty of fourth degree criminal mischief, a serious misdemeanor; for the August 22nd, 2019 incident. In a plea agreement Bryce was given suspended prison sentences and will serve two years probation for the firearm charge and one year probation for the second charge to be served consecutively. He must also pay over $1,100 for fines, surcharges, and other costs. The fourth degree criminal mischief charge for Tanner was dismissed, though he was also convicted of carrying weapons, an aggravated misdemeanor. His prison sentences were dismissed and he will serve two years probation for the two offenses, to be served consecutively. Tanner must pay over $1,600 for fines, surcharges, and other costs. Harrison was also given suspended two year prison sentences for his two offenses and was placed on two years probation with both sentences to be served consecutively with a felony conviction. He must pay over $1,200 fines, surcharges, and other costs.
The case for the fourth man charged in the incident, 23-year-old Nathan Lee Harrison of Bayard, remains ongoing. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
