The list of candidates for the upcoming primary election for some available Greene County elected positions has been released.
The available seats in Greene County include County Auditor, Sheriff and three Supervisors. There is one candidate each for Auditor and Sheriff, with Republican incumbents Jane Heun and Jack Williams, respectively. Those running for Supervisor District 1 include Republican incumbent Mick Burkett and Democrat challenger Linn Cipperley-Price. Republican incumbent John Muir is seeking re-election for Supervisor District 4 and he will be challenged by Democrat Chris Henning. Democrat Ginny Showman will be challenging Republican incumbent Pete Bardole for Supervisor District 5.
These names will be included on the ballot for the June 2nd primary election, however if someone wanted to submit a write-in candidacy, that individual would need to qualify and have seven days from the County Board of Supervisors canvassing the vote to file an affidavit of candidacy.
