The novel coronavirus 2019 pandemic has affected many public entities, but most, including Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, are still operational.
Field Agronomist Meaghan Anderson with Dallas County Extension says all of their public programs and workshops for the next two months have unfortunately been canceled or postponed due to the COVID-19 community spread. However, she points out that Extension itself is still operational. “So a lot of our Extension offices either have staff who are working remotely, or it’s possible that staff may still be working at offices but they are not allowing that office to be open to the public right now. But please don’t hesitate to call or email your local Extension office, or any resources through Extension that you are aware of like our field agronomists as myself or anyone else. We are still working, we’re just trying to minimize that in-person contact as much as possible. And we still have all of our good resources available that we’ve always had.”
