The Jefferson City Council will meet tomorrow night.

The Council will consider for approval an amendment resolution to the City’s urban renewal plan, following a public hearing on the topic. Additionally, the Council will consider approving a contract for a roof project at 100 East State Street, a web services-hosted agreement with Tyler Technologies for online utility payments, mayoral appointments, and appointing Roxanne Gorsuch as city clerk. The Council will also set public hearings for the plans, specifications and cost estimate for a shared use path improvement projects and adoption of the 2021 fiscal year budget.

Due to the governor’s social distancing requirements, the meeting will be available to the public via phone or by the Zoom application from an electronic device. Mayor Matt Gordon says this is a good way to still involve the public, while also adhering to the governor’s proclamation on social distancing.

“We’re trying to keep as many people home as possible. And we just highly recommend that if you can just get on the phone call, if you want to be a part of the Council meeting, everybody will still have an opportunity to speak. It may take just a little bit longer to identify everybody that’s speaking and running it through there.”

The number to call for the meeting is 1-321-626-6799 and the meeting ID number is 377-759-2273. The meeting will also be held via Zoom application from an electronic device.

The meeting begins at 5:30pm in the City Hall Council Chambers.
