novel-coronavirus

Additional closures and adjustments are coming in for Greene County, due rising concerns of the novel coronavirus.

Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams says the law enforcement center in Jefferson is temporarily closed to the public at this time. The building will continue to be staffed and law enforcement will continue providing services. Staff will also continue to answer phone calls.

The temporary closure of the building also impacts those who need to renew or obtain a permit to carry or permit to purchase a firearm. Williams says they can extend renewal dates if your permit is set to expire while the building is temporarily closed. There will also be no fingerprinting at this time.

Jefferson Fareway is also making changes to its store hours. Starting tomorrow, the store will be open from 8-9am for those 65 and older, those  with serious chronic medical conditions, and those with underlying medical conditions that have increased risk to the coronavirus and then the store is open from 9am-7pm until further notice.

McFarland Clinic has provided additional services with the growing concerns of COVID-19.
