Last week the Dallas Center-Grimes Girls’ Track team sent a select group of its members to the Dickinson Relays at the UNIDome for an early season indoor track meet.

Sarah Frett, Katey Luebke, Sydney Anderson, and Meredith McDermott all competed in Cedar Falls.

Sarah Frett had the best individual day for the Fillies.  Frett placed in the Top 10 in three different events for DC-G.  A 3rd place finish in the long jump, Frett finished 8th in the 60 meter hurdles finals, and 10th in the preliminary round in the same event.

In the 800 meter run Meredith McDermott finished 27th, followed by DC-G’s Sydney Anderson 10 spots behind at 37th.

Last week was a solid start to the season for the DC-G Girls’ Track and Field team as they team prepares to build for a peak over the course of the next two months.
