Maverick Taylor of Earlham was traveling on Old Highway 6 when he went to pass a vehicle not realizing that the vehicle was turning left and lost control when he tried to take evasive action to avoid a collision. No injuries reported. Damage to the vehicle estimated at $3000.00. Taylor was cited for failure to maintain control.

Trisha Clark of De Soto was traveling in the 33000 block of Highway 159 when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries reported. Damage to the vehicle estimated $2500.00.

Keith Black of 4508 NW 169th St., Clive was arrested at W Ave., for OWI, unlawful possession of prescription drugs and no insurance.

Donald Benton of Woodward was traveling in the 29000 block of Highway 141 when a vehicle behind him driven by Akot Akuei of Des Moines attempted to pass in the fast lane and lost control striking Benton’s vehicle causing them both to go into the ditch. Benton struck a utility pol. No injuries reported. Damage to Akuei’s vehicle estimated at $4000.00 and $15000.00 to Benton’s. Akuei was cited for failure to provide proof of financial liability and defective tires.

Julie Scott of Minburn was traveling in the 21000 block of Minburn Rd., when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries reported. Damage to the vehicle estimated at $1500.00.

Adam Deardorff of Adel was traveling on 260th St., when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries reported. Damage to the vehicle estimated at $10000.00.

Nicole Marie Briddell, age 41 of 810 Elm St., Van Meter was arrested at 23935 360th St., De Soto for OWI and failure to maintain control.
